The retreat was provocative, educational, and inspiring plus I had the
opportunity to meet and talk with you all in person. And the location was
beautiful and supportive, reflecting experience and care in bringing people
together.
I think I have a much clearer idea of Strategic Doing and feel much more
comfortable talking about it and adapting it to the business space, although
I am going to spend more time on the civic space as well. Bringing Valdis
into the program balanced Strategic Doing with strategic knowing.
I thank you all for you hard work, dedication, and commitment.

I-Open's workshop demonstrated for me the complexity of the work that we must do as leaders to change our culture,first by looking at the very behavior choices we make that hold us back. Our closed behavior choices instilled in us by our grandparents will not survive in 21st century culture and economy. By recognizing that the assets they left us with are still assets unique to us, we are empowered to take bold steps forward, in open collaborative ways to grow our new economy.
